After Marielos was removed from Limon she had nothing, she sold all her assets to liquidate enough money to be able to buy a property and build habitats for her animals. After moving locations twice she finally found the right property for her animals and transferred everything to that property which is now Costa Rica Animal Rescue Center

Bernal has had a very similar story to Marielos since he has been beside her throughout the whole journey, while Marielos managed all the operations that had to do with the animals Bernal was managing the behind the scenes operations such as finance and management
